Mark (Anup) Karlsson was born on May the 25th 1963 and brought up in the North East of England. In 1989 he left for what he believed was to be a 6 month trip to Australia, little did he know at that time that the 6 months would turn out to be much longer. At the time of this writing - Sept 2010, he has not yet returned to England to live. He started his working life as an instrument technician working on oil platforms both on and offshore, although qualified he had no passion to do this work and always knew there was something else for him to discover. His lack of acceptance of the life he had as an instrument technician was really what drove him forward to find his passion and purpose for being, although he didn’t really fully understand that at the time.
He stumbled upon a personal development seminar in Sydney namely, Mind Powers which proved to be the beginning of a new life, although not an easy one at first. Mark, struggled with drug and alcohol addiction for many years. Fortunately as his awareness grew and his skills as a teacher and coach developed he saw the light and realized his “problems” were actually his ticket to finding his passion. His own personal need for help drove him to learn more in the field of personal development and then to delve deeper in the world of spirituality.
The transition from working man to spiritual teacher was difficult, he often felt embarrassed to tell people that he was, for example a skilled healer or that he could read tarot cards and obviously, this insecurity didn’t help his financial situation. Living in Hong Kong for almost 6 years he tried many ways to earn money from working as a waiter on numerous occasions to selling protein powders and water filters as well as doing the odd tarot readings. Over a period of time, he established a regular base of clients that would come to him for tarot readings and this was a real confidence boost as he could see that he was genuinely helping people.
Not believing in himself was at the core of his own healing. He now believes that that particular insecurity was such a blessing in terms of how it helped him develop into the healer and coach he is today.
As well as specialising in healing, he also works with groups of people in the areas of relationship conflict, stress management, effective communication, personal and spiritual development as well as consciousness and awareness expansion.
Although he loves to work with people on a one on one basis, he does believe that group work is the most powerful way to heal people. “If one person in the group gets a realization or healing, then the whole group gets it” says Mark
Working in this field for over 15 years now; Mark’s developed a style of teaching that is easily embraced and understood, he loves to entertain his audience and so often brings humour into his work as he really believes it has the power to heal at deep levels plus he knows that at the heart of spirituality is fun and laughter. He took himself so seriously for many years, never allowing himself to just be and so now ‘letting go’ and ‘allowing’ are philosophies he uses often in his work.

The highest vibration of energy is love, therefore by continuously increasing our internal vibration toward love, the external reality follows suit accordingly. Life on the outside miraculously changes to a more flowing, happy and abundant manifestation.
When our perception of life comes from a place of love, it starts to work for us, bringing us peace, harmonious relationships, mental acuity and ultimately moving us into our life’s vocation, enabling us to express our innate talents and abilities.” Mark (Anup) Karlsson
